Growing up, I felt guilty and somewhat embarrassed talking about my kinks. It took me years to even start talking about them with people online. Is it common, I want to say it is, but also depends on how you were brought up. I'd also wager that while it is easier to use illustrations as a proxy or outlet for your kinks, I've found that experiencing some of them really works better. Sadly, it also requires an interested partner.
I gotcha! Totally understandable. I always see people asking others questions like “why do you like that?? I dont get it”. I don’t think that some kinks are for others to just flat out understand. An example are those with a foot fetish (such as myself lol). I have others that are typically frowned upon amonoyour standard male but I personally just enjoy the things that i like without much thought. I feel blessed to have a willing partner lol she’s the best.
